If you don't know history, then you don't know anything. You are a leaf that doesn't know it is part of a tree.

About This Quote

If you don't know history, then you don't know anything. You are a leaf that doesn't know it is part of a tree. This quote is one that I believe every human being needs to live by. When I was younger, I never took any classes to learn about the history of the world.

I thought that was boring. However, I now realize how very important it is to take time to learn about everything around me so that I can be informed and make an educated decision. Without this perspective, you could be swept up in something completely unexpected and very dangerous.
